TWO MONTHS OLD TODAY!

I just wanted to announce that I am too months old today and getting to be a BIG boy. I am smiling lots now at mommy and daddy, and my big sister Susana. They all make me smile. Here I am in my first pair of short overalls. I have to go and get a shot today. Pray for me please and pray for mommy too, because she doesn't like these days.

10 DAYS NOW...

Before Abner and I were married, Abner had the opportunity to sing as one of the backup singers for one of the more popular spanish Christian artist named Marcos Barrientos. For a long time we couldn't find the copy of this production that we had bought, but while my parents were visiting and Abner was out of town for a couple days I showed Susana that we had found it. Of course, she wanted to watch it, but what I didn't know is that that is all that we would be watching for 10 days now. No Baby Praise videos, no Baby Signing Time, no Baby Einstien, only 'dow...daddy!' Which would be translated...daddy video. The Sunday that Abner was gone, she even took the cover of the video to bed with her. Too cute. She loves her daddy, and she loves to worship!

GOD WORKS IN CRAZY WAYS SOMETIMES...

Well, I decided that I am going to become an 'official' blogger, just for my friend Beckie. Beckie, I know that I said I would get better like two months ago, but this time I am really going to try. O.k, cool God thing. We moved into our house on August 24th. Here in Honduras it is very common and almost necessary to have a wall surrounding your property, one for security, two because your laundry facilities are all outside, and for any other visitors that might come strolling through the yard such as cows, horses, etc. Anyway, the wall was something that we new we were going to have to put up and have been trusting the Lord for His perfect timing in building it. A couple months ago, the Lord laid on my sister's heart to ask the family to help with the 'wall project' as we know it as. The Lord has used her to raise up $2700.00, which we used to get us going. We knew that this wasn't going to be enough, but we began building trusting that the rest would come in. Well, this past weekend when my parents were here, we ran out of money to complete the first part of the wall. We had the money for the materials, but were lacking the $750.00 needed to pay the workers. My dad is a Texas-hold um pocker lover and decided to ask the Lord to help him win a tournament on-line and promised that any money he won would go to help us complete the wall. The most my dad has ever won is $25.00, but the Lord knew the intentions of his heart and he came in 2nd place out of 1500 people, winning us $765.00, to complete this part of the wall. When my dad told me his 'deal' with the Lord, all I prayed was, 'well, Lord, I don't know that this is necessarily the right way to get the money, but do your will.' God is faithful and knows the intentions of our hearts, and my dad was soooo happy to be able to help us with this money. God is good!!
